PAL of Hallandale Beach offers two seasons of soccer each year; one in the summer running from June until the second week of August and one in the Fall/Winter running from November until March.
Our Winter season is our main season. It is longer than the summer and includes more than a month of practice before the first games even begin.
In the winter, our teams are broken up into in-house recreational and traveling recreational. No matter which your child's team falls into, you are going to get 2 practices a week and about 8 regular season games and a playoff that will consist of at least two additional games.
The in-house teams play other Hallandale teams exclusively and all practices and games are located at Peter Bluesten Park. Usually, our under 6, under 8 boys, and under 10 boys fall under this. Games for these teams are usually played on a weekday. Only one game each year is played on a Saturday for photo day.
The traveling teams play games against other nearby parks. Usually our U8 Girls, U10 Girls, and U12 and older teams fall into this group. Half of the games will be located at our park and half will be away at another park. Normally, traveling for these games consists of 30 minutes of travelling maximum. In rare cases, you may need to go 10-15 minutes further but those games are generally set to Saturdays.
Compared to our Fall season, our summer season is deigned to be shorter. Practices begin only two weeks before games and in total, there will only be about six games played. Unlike the fall, we aim to play all games during the week. Only in cases of rainouts will we reschedule a game to the weekend.
Like the Fall season, our teams are broken down into in-house and traveling recreational.
Our in-house is the exact same structure as the Fall. They play other Hallandale teams exclusively and all practices and games are located at our field. Usually, our under 6, under 8 boys, 10 boys, and under 12 boys fall under this.
The traveling teams do travel unlike the in-house teams but they are not traveling nearly as far as during the Fall season. Hallandale hosts much of this season for the league we are a part of and as a result, we host most of the games.
